Querétaro.- El subcampeón Querétaro todavía sueña con clasificar a la liguilla del Torneo Apertura 2015 de la Liga MX, luego de superar 2-1 a Xolos de Tijuana, en el arranque de la fecha 12 del Apertura 2015.
El colombiano Yerson Candelo, al minuto 51 y el argentino Emmanuel Villa, al 53, quien llegó a 11 en la cima de la tabla de goleo, fueron los autores del triunfo queretano, mientras que el colombiano Dayro Moreno, al 83, recortó distancias para los fronterizos y sumó su noveno tanto a su cuenta personal.
De este modo, Querétaro llegó a 15 unidades en el décimo peldaño de la tabla, en tanto que Xolos se estancó con 13 puntos.
Los dos equipos llegaron a este encuentro con la necesidad de triunfar para mantener muy vivas sus aspiraciones a clasificar a la liguilla y en el caso de Xolos para darle tranquilidad al técnico argentino Rubén Omar Romano.
Sin embargo, ambos conjuntos lucieron muy precavidos en la primera mitad, por lo que fue un día de campo para los porteros en el primer lapso, que jamás será recordado ante la escasez de disparos a puerta.
Pasada la media hora de partido, se generó una llegada de peligro por parte de la visita cuando Antonio Madueña mandó su remate por encima del horizontal tras el cobro de falta por parte del venezonalo Juan Arango, después de eso nada que contar.
En la parte complementaria la intensidad se elevó un poco y en los primeros 10 minutos se vieron más emociones que en el primer tiempo, al 51, Arango se abrió el espacio dentro del área queretana y estrelló el balón en el poste luego que el brasileño TiagoVolpi le echó mucha mirada.
Tras la falla del equipo fronterizo, Gallos Blancos despertó en el cotejo y en un santiamén prácticamente sentenció el cotejo con dos tantos en fila. Antonio Naelson Sinha envió pase preciso al hueco para la corrida de Candelo, quien sin problemas se quitó al argentino Federico Vilar para empujar el balón a las redes.
Antes de que Xolos haya digerido el gol en contra, recibió el segundo cuando el lateral estadunidense Jonathan Bornstein subió por primera vez por la banda izquierda y centró al área para el cabezazo de «Tito» Villa, quien siguió con su instinto goleador en el certamen para el 2-0.
Después, Volpi le quitó el gol a Tijuana con su lance espectacular a cobro de tiro libre de Arango y luego el chileno Felipe Flores falló con arco abierto y eso acabó con las posibilidades de la visita, que en el resto del encuentro mostró desesperación y eso facilitó más el accionar de los pupilos de Víctor Manuel Vucetich.
En el momento menos esperado, Xolos se metió al encuentro con gol de Dayro Moreno, quien ejecutó un disparo de tiro libre y aprovechó que Volpi le regaló su poste para el 2-1 y así quebrar los 292 minutos que tenía Querétaro sin recibir gol.
Con el sufrimiento inesperado, Gallos Blancos se quedó con las tres unidades, que le permiten acercarse a la «fiesta grande», mientras que el trabajo de Romano al frente de Xolos pende de un hilo. El árbitro del encuentro fue Adonai Escobedo, quien tuvo una buena labor y sólo amonestó al local Luis Noriega y al colombiano Dayro Moreno, por los fronterizos.
