México.- La cantante mexicana Lucero dijo que si su madre le hubiera impuesto el medio del espectáculo como profesión, no estaría celebrando 37 años de trayectoria en los escenarios musicales, televisivos, cinematográficos y teatrales.
«En muchas ocasiones los papás son quienes empujan a los niños a ser artistas, pero en mi caso no. Yo era la que desde los cuatro años quería salir en la tele y le decía a mi mamá que me llevara para actuar en alguna telenovela o lo que fuera», explicó.
Transcurrieron muchos años en los que a diario pedía lo mismo a su madre (Lucero León), hasta que se enteraron de que había una audición para formar parte del elenco en el desaparecido espacio «Alegrías de mediodía», en 1980.
«Había una fila enorme de niños y nos hacían la audición con cámaras, como si estuvieras en el programa de televisión. El director era César González ‘El Pollo'», recordó.
Fue tan convincente su desempeño que los ejecutivos de la empresa Televisa la contrataron de inmediato y permitieron que usara su nombre real, pero en diminutivo: Lucerito.
«En aquel entonces hacías lo que tenías en el corazón, en el alma. Fue algo que nadie me inculcó, no me lo enseñaron ni me dijeron: ‘Haz la sonrisa 32 o ponte tal ropa. Yo me vestía como salía de la casa.
«A lo mejor mi mamá me decía: ‘Ponte esta blusita y este pantaloncito que está muy mono, pero no era como ahora que hay estilistas, maquillistas y las empresas televisoras confeccionan todo el atuendo».
Resaltó que si tenía que salir de «Blancanieves» en el programa «Chiquilladas», su madre le hacía la peluca y el vestido «en su máquina Singer facilita» y en las giras del programa «Chiquilladas» nunca la dejó viajar sola en los autobuses.
«Le decían que no había mucho presupuesto para llevar a los papás y hermanos, y mi mamá les respondía: ‘Pues si no voy, ella no va. Mi hija tiene 11 ó 12 años, y no irá sola ni a la esquina de Chimalhuacán o Xochimilco’. Yo entendía muy bien la situación porque no era la típica niña rebelde y les respondía: ‘Lo que diga mi mamá; así era siempre'».
En su casa todos vivían como una familia normal, pero conforme crecía la fama de la cantante y actriz, Lucero León comenzó a estudiar el negocio y se convirtió en su representante.
«Dios quiera que así sea por muchos años más porque hemos podido lograr un equipo muy padre. Siempre hemos respetado las decisiones de cada una y estamos de acuerdo en lo que quiero o no quiero hacer, lo que conviene o no. Ella ha tenido mucha visión e inteligencia».
Después vino su primer contrato con la disquera Musart para grabar el álbum «Él» y «Chispita» (1983), que marcó su debut en las telenovelas de México.
«A veces hay momentos muy difíciles, de muchos sacrificios, de horarios muy complicados y enfermedades. Han sido días en los que no pasas tus cumpleaños con la gente que amas, que no vas a la Primera Comunión de tu mejor amiga o a sus 15 años, pero no sé, hay una adicción, un vicio, un amor muy grande por esta carrera.
«Cuando empiezas a ver el resultado, que es el cariño del público y de los fans, sabes que es algo que no podrías pagar con nada nunca. Esto es lo que me apasiona y me emociona tanto que nunca ha habido algo tan fuerte como para retirarme.
A veces conoces a personas que son nefastas, pero también aprendes a no confiar en todo el mundo».
Compartió que hace poco hubo quien le subrayó que en el medio artístico se abusa del consumo de drogas, pero ella dijo que nunca ha sido testigo de esto.
«Se los juro por Dios y por mis hijos que nunca he visto a una sola persona usar drogas, de ningún tipo, ni darle a otro ni prestarle. No sé si es el ambiente que uno se forja alrededor porque te vas rodeando de la gente que es como tú, porque son con quienes te identificas.
«Los más borrachos que he visto son los que no se dedican a ser artistas, porque los que se dedican tienen que cumplir con un compromiso y cantar al día siguiente y levantarse temprano. No te puedes poner fatal».
Resaltó que aunque la gente no lo crea, ella se desarrolló en un mundo muy sano.
«Nunca tomé ni tuve algún vicio y ahorita, evidentemente a esta edad, menos. Sigo muy enamorada de hacer lo que hago, de tener esta carrera y la cuido muchísimo. La defiendo, por eso nunca me atrevería a faltarle al respeto al público, a hacer algo fuera de lugar porque han dado mucho amor durante 37 años», concluyó.
