Santos goleó a Saprissa 6-1

*  Y avanza cuartos de final de «Concachampions»

 

    Torreón.- Santos Laguna no tuvo piedad del Saprissa de Costa Rica y lo goleó 6-1 para, de esa manera, avanzar a los cuartos de final de la Liga de Campeones de la Concacaf, en duelo disputado en el estadio Corona TSM.

Los tantos del once de la Comarca fueron del chileno Bryan Rabello en el minuto 37, el caboverdiano Djaniny Tavares (52), Luis Mendoza (54), y de los argentinos Carlos Izquierdos (67), Diego González (68) y Jesús Escoboza (90). Por Saprissa marcó Minor Escoe (48).

El triunfo deja a Santos como líder del Grupo A con nueve unidades y con el pase a la siguiente ronda, mientras Saprissa se quedó con seis y sin aspiraciones. En el fondo quedó W Conection de Trinidad y Tobago, con tres.

Complicado le resultó el partido al cuadro lagunero en el primer tiempo, ya que el conjunto «tico» vino a hacer un partido defensivo en busca de la contra para liquidar su pase a la siguiente fase, ya que llegaba con tener la ventaja en el sector.

Los dirigidos por el español Francisco Ayestarán intentaron por todos los medios abrir el muro defensivo que le planteó el rival, sobre todo por los costados, pero al llegar a la línea final los centros iban excedidos de fuerza y se perdía la oportunidad.

Saprissa, por su parte, le dificultó las cosas al rival al cerrarle los espacios, para luego salir a velocidad y generar peligro sobre la meta del argentino Agustín Marchesín, quien en el minuto 24 le quitó la mejor opción de gol al visitante.

Fue hasta el minuto 37 que Santos logró abrir el cerrojo costarricense, cuando, por derecha, Luis Mendoza hizo buena jugada personal y envió centro a segundo poste, donde apareció el andino Bryan Rabello quien con la cabeza hizo el 1-0.

Estar abajo en el marcador obligó al equipo comandado por Douglas Sequeria a adelantar sus líneas y abrir espacios para ir por el resultado que le permitiera avanzar a cuartos de final, lo cual fue aprovechado por el cuadro lagunero.

Pero la primera que tuvo el caboverdiano Djaniny Tavares la dejó ir, lo que provocó la respuesta del visitante, quien hizo el 1-1 en el minuto 48 por el recién ingresado Minor Escoe, para poner a su equipo en la otra ronda en ese momento, pero luego vino el exceso de confianza.

Eso provocó que Santos tomara nuevamente la delantera en solo dos minutos. En el 52, Tavares hizo el 2-1 al rematar sin marca en el área, mientras el 3-1 lo marcó Luis Mendoza, quien sin ángulo y cayéndose superó al aquero Daniel Carvajal, en el 54.

El daño ya estaba hecho y el cuadro lagunero se despachó con la cuchara grande, ya que en el minuto 67 logró el 4-1 con la anotación del argentino Carlos Izquierdoz, quien se agregó al ataque.

Un minuto después, en el 68, el también «pampero» Diego González contribuyó con la goleada al marcar un gran tanto para poner el 5-1 en el tanteador y a Santos en la siguiente fase del certamen.

Ya con un conjunto tico sin gas y desfondado, Santos le dio la puntilla al marcar el 6-1 a través de Jesús Escoboza en el minuto 90, cuando previamente había fallado una muy clara frente al arquero Carvajal.

Aceptable el trabajo del silbante guatemalteco Walter López y por Santos amonestó al colombiano Andrés Rentería, al argentino Diego González, mientras por Saprissa hizo lo propio con Juan Bustos.
